Don't you just love a cozy spot o' tea? For me, tea time is a wonderful opportunity to take a break from the day and rejuvenate my spirits with a hot beverage and a tasty treat. With that sentiment in mind, I thought it would be fun to share some of my tea-time favorites!
This winter I'm enjoying the Sweater Weather tea blend which is a lovely decaf blend of black tea, rooibos, cinnamon, ginger, anise, and orange. It's just so warm and cozy! And it's a collaboration by my dear friends at It's a Charming Life and Tea Spectral!
I also just ordered for myself Victorian London Fog by Harney & Sons which I'm so excited to try! It's an Earl Grey tea with lavender and vanilla which sounds absolutely heavenly and will pair perfectly with my English Fog candle casting its beautiful fragrance as I cozy up with a book! ;-)
Over the years I've amassed quite a collection of mismatched antique teacups and mugs, but by far my favorite for a proper tea time is my beloved Downton Abbey tea set which was gifted to me by my brother and sister-in-law. (Can they pick a perfect gift or what?!) Sadly, this particular set is no longer available but there are lots of other charming tea items available on PBS!
One of my favorite shops, Victorian Trading Company, also carries several pretty tea sets. Here are a few of my favorites:
And of course, what is tea time without a sweet treat? My goodie of choice is almost always Scottish shortbread cookies. For a quick treat, I'll pick up Walkers cookies at the market or, if I have time to bake, I love making my own shortbread with my beautiful Brown Bag shortbread pans!
Thank you for joining me for a spell and I hope you enjoyed my tea-time favorites! I'd love to hear about your own tea-time rituals! What are your favorite tea blends? Do you have a cherished tea set you love t use? What goodies do you typically enjoy at tea time? Leave a comment and tell me all about it! Cheerio!
I enjoy Celestial Seasonings. Pepperidge Farm Dublin Shortbread or gingerbread cookies are wonderful!
I think you and I could be friends! I have tried Victorian fog, and to me it tastes a lot like Earl Grey which I like! The blend I was surprised with is Tower of London by Harney & Sons. Yummy! I have yet to order from you, but I will soon! Love your ideas!
I just know you are going to love the Victorian London Fog tea. There is a tin of it in my kitchen and refill it whenever I order from Harney and Sons. I tried it at a local bookstore and even though I usually don’t like vanilla in my teas I found this particular blend absolutely delicious! It’s just the right touch of vanilla and goes very well with shortbread. (I’m partial to the Walkers Scottie dog shortbreads, they are adorable and tasty!)
Now I am intrigued to try your English Fog candle and perfume.
Enjoy your tea!
Thanks for posting new teas. I will try the victorian london fog as well.It sounds amazing. I have voted for you win. Good luck my friend…
